Can You Complete These Scripture Verses?

Below are half of Scripture verses.  Can you find the other half?  The missing halves follow.  Don’t peek!  Use the tools in the back of our Bible for hints if available.  This is a great activity to do with your spouse, a friend or Bible Study group.  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know how you did.

  • “For many are called;”
  • “Father, forgive them;”
  • “Ask, and it will be given you;”
  • “A prophet is not without honor;”
  • “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them;”
  • “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened,”

Finished?  I know you didn’t peek at the answers below.  Don’t forget to leave a comment to let me know how you did.

  • “But few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14)
  • “For they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34)
  • “Seek, and you will find” (Matthew 7:7)
  • “Except in his own country” (Mark 6:4)
  • “For to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:16)
  • “and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

We find true rest in His presence. (Matthew 11:28)

We find true rest in His presence.

This a great way to begin to memorize Scripture.  For years I thought I could not memorize Scripture.  But a truth is the more time spent in the Bible, the more familiar we are, the quicker we recall Scripture and are able to locate the verse.
