Can You Complete These Bible Verses From Psalms?

Can you complete these Bible verses from Psalms?  The first half of the verses are below. The missing halves of the verses follow.  Don’t peek until you have given it your best effort.  Look for two consecutive verses in the list.  Be sure to leave a comment below and let me know how you did.  I would love to hear from you.

Try to turn off your electronic Bibles, if possible, and use a print version for searching these verses.  There is just something about turning the pages that kicks my brain into action.  Use the Concordance in the back of your Bible for key words if available.

  • Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
  • For You, LORD, are good (kind) and ready to forgive,
  • The LORD has heard my supplication (my plea for help);
  • I will both lie down in peace and sleep,
  • He will cover you with His feathers;
  • I have set the LORD always before me (I keep the Lord in mind always.);
  • I will bless (praise) the LORD at all times;
  • The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
  • Those who know your name will put their trust in You;
  • As far as the east is from the west,

This is a great way to begin to memorize Scripture.  Write the verses out on index cards or in a small notebook to carry with you.  While you wait in line at the bank or in the checkout line, pull the verses out and work on memorizing it.  It helps me to say the verse location (address) at the beginning and the end of the verse.  Write the verse out.  Also, try writing out what the verse message is for you in your own words.  Sit with a spouse, your children, a friend or a fellow Sister In Truth to search out the verses and help memorize one or two.  Feel free to use these verses in your Bible Study or Sunday School class.

Remember this truth.  The more time spent in the Bible, the more familiar we are, the quicker we recall the Scriptures, and are able to find true rest in His presence and comfort others with the truth of God’s Word.
